The setting was gorgeous, adjacent to centre of Clifden town Des, and pubs and restaurants. Staff were kind and agreeable, and facilities were great here. Really enjoyed absolutely fantastic double room with a comfy bed and nice bathroom, wouldn't mind staying there all day.

Great location, lovely area, near all pubs and restaurants, and on the main road so lots of pub noise. Again, walking distance to Lavelle Art Gallery. Quiet room with very comfortable beds and very kind and agreeable staff.

    charming decor
    attentive hosts
    delicious pancakes
    short shower curtain

Loved the charming decor with family artifacts in the dining room. The pancakes at breakfast were a standout. I couldn't get enough! The hosts, Des and Eileen, were attentive and made sure everything was perfect. The shower curtain in our room was a bit short, leading to some water on the floor, inconvenient. Despite this, the comfortable bed and hot shower made up for it. The clutter on the dining table made it tough to set down our teapot without juggling things around.

    sparkling clean room
    heavenly bed
    damp smell

What a cozy retreat! Spent two nights in a sparkling clean room with a heavenly bed. The best part? A warm arrival.

But let me tell you, if I wanted damp smells, I'd have just gone for a swim! A quick ventilation fix would go a long way, dear.

    homemade pancakes

Perfect for solo travelers looking for comfort

Eileen had this warm cute vibe that immediately put you at ease. The breakfast was very nice, I mean homemade pancakes, they really hit the spot after a long day. After a tough ride on my bike, they allowed me to assemble my suitcase bike right there, now that's service.

It wasn't exactly a bargain but honestly it was worth every penny.

Charming Stay with a Touch of History

I recently spent a night in a lovely Double or Twin Room that perfectly captured the charm of Clifden. Eileen's warm hospitality, and the breakfast was amazing with freshly prepared dishes and the option of pancakes that were a definite highlight. The ambiance of the guesthouse, filled with interesting family artifacts, really added to the experience. One minor drawback was the slightly short shower curtain that caused a bit of water on the floor, but it hardly detracted from my overall enjoyment.

    homemade pancakes
    friendly hosts
    spotty wi-fi

We had an very nice stay with friends! The breakfast was to die for, especially the homemade pancakes. Desmond and Eileen were super helpful, offering great recommendations for places like Guys on the Main Street. The guesthouse is a perfect base for exploring the area.

One minor hiccup was the Wi-Fi, a bit spotty at times. It didn't take away from the overall experience, though.

    big irish breakfast
    pancakes

This place was a commendable fit for a weekend break in Clifden with extraordinarily good value for money. The big Irish breakfast was a highlight, fueling us up for a day of exploring. Don't skip the pancakes if you get a chance!
